LUMBER

The original plan was to grow Christmas trees as a cash crop and several thousand trees were planted by hand. Unfortunately, it seems that many other people had the same idea and there has been a market glut for several years. Not to worry, because Christmas trees (Douglas Fir) make excellent lumber when they grow up. You just don't harvest quite as often.
